“This backpack would have been my jam in 6th-12th. I like the padded straps that aren't too clunky, and there's a chest strap for the heavy load for longer walks. The bungee cords are even solid enough to stuff a light jacket (but as a parent now, I'd be weary of my kid strapping things to the outside of their bag and immediately losing them lol). Fjällraven material is so durable in my experience, so it's expensive but would last. **If you're looking at comps, I also use the North Face 28L, and it's on sale now on their site, but I feel the make of Fjällraven holds more. Lastly, I'd buy a few options on Zappos because they ship fast/return is streamlined vs buying options from a few different spots and dealing with the hassel!”
