Botany of Nations Exhibition

“Philly, PA. Academy of Natural Sciences has launched a year long exhibit called Botany of Nations that reexamines westward expansion in North America through the indigenous lens. It uses nine native plants collected on the Lewis and Clark expedition and re-stories them in the context of native uses, history, and spirituality that long predated the western botanist who first pressed them into his notebooks.”
