“I use a small or medium Baggu zipper pouch from maybe 5+ years ago for makeup overflow like sparkly eyeshadows or moody lipsticks, which gets shoved in the back lower drawer of the vanity because it’s not used frequently. For regular makeup items like brushes, mascara which I think of as many people’s daily drivers, I use a Sonia Kashuk makeup bag (similar) that was a gift from a dear friend who did my wedding day makeup. That friend is a makeup and product queen, and she uses a series of Baggu zipper pouches and a clear makeup bag for hers, which makes it easy for her to find specifically what she’s looking for before digging into the bag. I think the main takeaway is: assess how much you use regularly and right-size accordingly.
