“Milou Broersen is a designer who explores how daily rituals are enhanced by human connection and thoughtful design. Her work is inspired by the interplay of light on colors and shapes, and driven by a passion for materials with an evolving texture that age gracefully in reaction to their use. This often results in handmade pieces, designed for longevity that seamlessly integrate into their surroundings. Her tableware collection is made entirely from porcelain. A material that constantly changes throughout the process, from powder to liquid, from wet to dry. Every step is completed by hand, a challenging and time-consuming process that can take up to eight hours per piece.”
