“I love a properly bulbous wine glass. While they are completely impractical for someone who hosts people under 30 (the wreckage...you can't even imagine), I continue to buy them, enormous wine glass after enormous wine glass. I love when pouring and drinking and being around wine is a performance, and there's no better stage for your carefully selected Burgundy—or your birthday party guest's $13 attempt at an "orange because you like that stuff"—than a terribly fragile wine glass. Dishwasher-safe, by the way, but be careful loading. On more than one occasion I've quite literally popped one of these by stacking them too closely.”
