Live from Austin, TX

“Reminds me of growing up in the south.”

“I saw Lucinda Williams last weekend and it was like a pilgrimage to a patron saint. It was in a little venue in Woodstock and so intimate, it felt like everyone was there to thank her for her life’s work, not just that performance. I really had to fight the instinct to catalog the meeting of a hero! to prove to myself that it happened! But — I didn’t touch my phone. I’m already feeling that the experience was more vital and vivid for its lack of digital intervention. Medicine!(**Note to those who care: she played Fruits of my Labor AND Car Wheels on a Gravel Road.)”
