Can you even imagine how it would feel to catch sight of her silhouette through the fog as the music swells. The styling is a permanent fixture on the mood board. Babs is charming and ethereal and a powerhouse the whole night. Even in the recording you can sense that the veil is thin, and that truth-tellers, divas, and music lovers across space and time are flitting about the malibu gardens (it really is shakespearean, as robin williams remarks). Maybe my spirit was there all along.”
