“When I was 17 I spent a month learning “primitive” outdoor survival in the desert of Utah. It fundamentally changed my understanding of self, my resiliency and my abilities while also striping away the noise and complexity of daily life. I gained a deep well of self-respect which I’ve quietly carried ever since. I’m not saying this is for everyone but I believe in the power of pushing yourself bigbig and deep contemplation. *During this course I also met the loml with whom I reconnected and married years later. This serendipitous love taught me I’m intrinsically lovable as is and that life is a bit magical.”
