Someone pointed me toward Merlin Bird ID during the pandemic and I realized all I needed was a pair of binoculars and sitting in our yard staring at stuff could be a legit hobby. Mostly I saw LBBs... until this baddie. Their story is amazing, their song beautifully distinctive, and we happen to live in one of the only places in the U.S. where they show up. I adore these little punks.”
