“File under: clandestine meeting Okay okay, every millennial probably wants to Koolaid-man through a wall at the thought of hearing about anything matcha. I totally get it-HOWEVER. . . Enter Matsu: don’t let the suspiciously photogenic gradient of gelato put a scowl on your face. Fine, you’re allowed to keep it while eating said gradient gelato. Two scoops for $10: order the jasmine (not overly floral) and pair it with their earthier, nutty genmaicha. This combo had me nearly levitating! The texture is creamy and smooth. It is the perfect respite for this unrelenting heatwave. Don’t worry, I won’t say I saw you here enjoying the forbidden fruit 🍵”
