“This is the last book that had me crying in public. It’s interesting to read a book documenting the AIDS epidemic that isn’t solely based in a major city such as NYC or SF. Yes, those cities are a part of this book but the sort of road trip throughout America is really interesting in this. It’s crazy to read about such an anxious, devastating time (that was not so long ago) but also latch onto such gorgeously human moments of friendship, love, and the beauty of the day to day. This book is a top tier recommendation for me - essential even!”
