El Cosmico Bathrobe

“True story: when I stayed in a yurt at El Cosmico in Marfa, TX in 2018, I fell in love with the worn cotton bathrobes that hung in our room. I thought about buying one at the store (which is lowkey very cute, very Marfa) but couldn’t justify the price OR the thought of being “the kind of person who buys the hotel bathrobe”. I proceeded to spend the next seven years thinking about that robe, wishing I had purchased it, pining for it. I even bought one for my sister for Hanukkah a couple of years ago but didn’t think to get one for myself. Well last year, I found one used (and very broken in!) on Poshmark and am here to say loud and clear: buy the hotel bathrobe. I use it every day, and relish in its softness, color, and texture. It makes me feel like I’m on vacation, if only for the part of my morning when I’m post shower and all dewy, putting on my lotions and potions.”
