“Protect our national parks! Acadia is just an incredible park. But this was such a special experience, particularly in August during the Perseids showers. The rangers are so enthusiastic about the art of stargazing, and have these powerful lasers that effectively lead you around the night sky; the inventors of constellations certainly had their heads deep in the wine urns or some other strong substance of antiquity, because that misshapen quadrilateral does not truly look like a dolphin (Delphinus) or a flying horse (Pegasus). If your husband is an astronomy nerd like mine, he will make sure you go on a night without clouds for the best experience.”
