“Designed by Harwell Hamilton Harris in 1941 for a “confirmed bachelor” on Berkeley’s breathtakingly steep Panoramic Hill. Harris’s boldest move was the three inverted triangular trusses that make the house appear to float off the hillside. UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design now stewards the house, which you can tour for a $20 donation.”
