Joy Fowlkes“Marketed as The Hunger Games for adults… this book is so much more complex. It essentially imagines an America where the prison population is paroled early to have NFL style broadcasts of gladiator death matches. There are footnotes throughout that point out the reality of our penal system, separating fact from fiction.”
Annie McHugh“Required reading. A commentary on America done so uniquely that I don't have anything to compare it to. Just read it.”
