The Runaway Bunny

“A story of a young bunny who expresses his desire to escape and explore the world, seeking a sense of adventure and independence, and a gentle steadfast responding mother, reassuring him that her love knows no bounds, she will always be there, ready to follow him, shapeshifting to catch him in any form necessary. A good read for anybody. A friend gifted it to me last year for my 30th birthday and I cried. Illustrations by artist Clement Hurd. <3”

“I adore this book for so many reasons. The wonderful illustrations are imaginative and beautifully colored; and the message of enduring parental love in the midst of kid boundary-testing is so gently reassuring. It’s in my top 5 gifts I give to new parents or anyone building a home library.”

“Classics are classics for a reason- and while I do think this is a metaphor for codependency and addiction, it’s also about the love of a mother 🥹 A mother bunny! The most prolific mothers we have.”

“The Runaway Bunny is an expansion of the Goodnight Moon Cinematic Universe. I love it because the illustrations are gorgeous and story wise there’s just a little more meat on the bone. Will hit harder if you have a toddler who is literally trying to run away from you most days!”
