“this kind of fucked me up ngl. back when a24 was actually bold and boundary pushing. so many conflicting thoughts i don’t quite know how to neatly wrap up in a letterboxd review but weirdly enough this movie just reinforced a deep seated gratitude tucked away in the annals of a consciousness ragged at the edges by the minor (and sometimes major) inconveniences of life. a gratitude for humanity and more importantly, belonging to it. i’m just,,,grateful to have been born in this body man. in the human body. as a human being. we take that for granted, beating the astronomically minuscule odds of being born at all let alone being born human at that. say what you will but provocative media like this really puts shit in perspective. some of us are dealt a harsher hand in life but hey at least we all get to think and feel and communicate and create and read and love and grieve and laugh. to exist with this kind of consciousness is a miracle so mundane we barely even notice it but god am i fucking grateful”
