“I’ve been listening to nothing but Middle Eastern / North African, Arabic music even some Persian music too and I’m just so obsessed with how long the songs are, they just lovingly keep going on and on and on as if All of the chords are making love to each other for eternity, the orchestration is always super intangled and loops around more evolved. Also, I feel like I notice There’s A lot of dramatic flare and percussion in a lot of Arabic music and the listening experience can turn some of the most mundane activities like grocery shopping into a moment of meta cognitive processing about love lost etc etc etc.”
