“I've been listening to this album and his voice just hits all of the feelings known to humankind. Didn't realize the title track "Changes" is a Black Sabbath cover, but he fully bodies it. The song makes me feel either full despair or cloud-parting nostalgia. If you like Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings (who also worked with Amy Winehouse), they were on the same record label. RIP to two legends. Here he is doing a stripped down version in the Toronto Star office (??). You know he's a true soul star by the amount of sweat and tears rolling into his wrinkles. I love everything about this.”
