To be fair, plenty of it is disturbing. As intended. To fairly represent life and all of its struggles, highs and lows, how could it now be? He had more than enough to be screaming about in '69, discrimination, Vietnam, Coltrane's death etc. He also leaves plenty of time to celebrate peace & God. The album is brilliantly rounded out by the more cohesive but equally stunning ode to Mother Nature, 'Colors'. Peace and happiness for every man.
