“If you look at the history of disasters, a commonality is that you will HAVE TO WALK. (If you are able.) But what seems to be missing from disaster prep lists is that you need to have a comfy shoe WITH YOU. If you are in a car-centric place, keep a pair in your trunk. New Yorkers already know to keep them at work because nobody is taking the train in heels. Especially essential for folx who love a fancy but painful shoe on the daily. The Moab hiker in all it's forms seems to be the most universally loved comfy hiker out there, so it's in my trunk!”
