Flaming June

“Flaming June is one of my favorite works of art. I first saw her while visiting family in Puerto Rico at the Museo de Arte de Ponce. My sisters and I were immediately struck by the power between the vibrant fiery dress she is wearing, juxtaposed with her peaceful moment of rest. We ended up buying a poster of the painting and it was hung in our childhood home for years. I was able to see her again (in person) when she was on loan at the MET in 2023 and I was definitely in my feelings. 🥹😚”
