“While working at VidCon, my boss and I had a whole bit about Fan Expo: where is it? Does it exist? By the end of VidCon, he got access and info on finding Fan Expo, tucked away on the other end of the convention center. He only lasted about 5 minutes in before he had to fix a con-related emergency, but I walked around and had the urge to craft. And that’s when SoCal D&D was like “Want to paint a free miniature? And play a free D&D skirmish?” I did both. I played the skirmish, in which I played a fighter, survived a poisonous ogre fart, and defeated him with a big sword. Really livin' the dream. As for my mini, I picked this dude because he has a cool axe and painted him with acrylic paint markers.”
