“Bisbee is San Francisco meets western ghost town, but set in the desert… and also in the mountains. Describing it feels insane which means I guess you have to go see it for yourself! It’s artsy, the food is good, it’s walkable, it has interesting architecture, and cool vintage signs and shops. It’s also close to (which also feels insane to say because, well, it’s far from just about everywhere?) Chiricahua National Monument, which is a mountain in the middle of the desert that is so big, it creates a “sky island”—a dramatic ecological refuge of a completely different biome than that of its base. Desert at the bottom, pine forest at the top. And hoodoos! Again, insane. You have to go.”
