“Did you know we only have the 5 day work week, work safety regulations, maternity leave and more because of unions? Just like how HR represents a company’s interests, a union represents YOURS! Think of every hard fought battle you’ve won at work. Now imagine if you didn’t have to fight that battle alone. Many unions often support each other, as well! That means that if your union is fighting for your labour rights, other unions likely will be, too. Plus, if you’re in Canada, your employer can’t stop you and your colleagues from unionizing. If you have a vote to join/form a union and that vote passes, then congrats! You’re in a union!”
