DIY Hand Balm Recipe

“I used to swear by “Worker Bee Body Balm” (made by Sunny Honey Co in Seattle) - I recommended it to everyone, especially my peers in the food industry. it was creamy and citrusy and luxurious, and the only thing that would really help my poor cracked hands. however, over the years the batches were inconsistent and the ingredients in the formula seemed to be different every time, and it broke my heart a little. my friend Emily finally nailed down the perfect hand balm recipe, the platonic ideal, so I can make it at home. she scented hers with vanilla and bergamot, but I will probably use grapefruit essential oil in mine for old times’ sake!”
