“The Muppets (2011) is a fundamentally different breed of cat from The Muppet Movie (1979), although the lost world of the latter is a big theme of the former. I encourage you to view the 2011 movie not a movie about the Muppets, but rather a movie about some people’s relationship to the Muppets. It’s a credit to Segel and to Muppetry that this works, but it does. It is the movie he was born to make. This movie is streaming on Disney+ and probably Hulu.
