Molly Manor“The writing, the story, the characters are so weird and so good. Set in the 1960’s, it follows Ignatius J. Reilly as he wreaks absolute havoc all across New Orleans. (Nick Offerman played Ignatius in the theatrical adaptation ((did I really just say “theatrical adaption”?)). Rory Gilmore mentions this book in her graduation speech from a Chilton. And there’s a statue of Ignatius in New Orleans. And! The mother of the author, John Kennedy Toole, found the manuscript in her son’s room after he committed suicide and shopped it around to publishers for him. 💔)”
