“There are so many old movies I want to watch that I (very unfortunately) don’t have the attention span to watch on my own. Pierrot le Fou (1965) was one of these, watched and digested w my old-film-loving situationship. Very romantic and fun and wouldn’t have hit the same alone. Much easier to pay attention to subtitles and not scroll on phone while cuddling with a cutie pie (tragic but true) :)”

“I watched this for the first time recently, but kept getting Déjà vu because I’d reblogged a still from almost every scene on tumblr in 2010-2011. It is stressful and chaotic but takes place in the south of France and is sometimes a roadtrip movie. It’s also sometimes a seaside movie. Also it’s sometimes a gangster movie. It really gives you so much from the summertime genre. Bonus rec: double feature it with Nirvana the band the show the movie and think about how both films/directors are basically doing the same thing in dramatically different decades. Cinema verité and YouTube are basically the same thing and I really just need to write a five paragraph essay on that.”
