“I read Just Kids last summer and while I loved it, it gave me this feeling of "nothing cool will ever happen again" that I could not shake for weeks. Bread of Angels focuses more on Patti's inner world, childhood, grief over losing her brother and husband, and her creative process. At times it is quite harrowing but well worth the emotional journey.”

“There is no doubt in my mind that Fred was the love of her life, you cannot fight me on this one. I have never cried while reading a book before, but her writing is just so beautiful I couldn’t hold back.”
