“I love an impassioned article against the use of AI especially in areas that threaten the Humanities as a whole (poetry, philosophy, literature, history, music, etc), and the humanity of the individual. I understand we live in a time of optimization but I need to preserve the last few precious brain cells that haven’t already been surrendered to things like the attention economy. I probably will get left behind because I won’t use the AI tools that will make me an optimal machine but I so appreciate reading articles from others that are also resisting the allure of a frictionless productivity machine.”
