“A cute old school style kissaten near Hakusan Shrine that's worth a drop in if you're in the area! It used to be called 貴苑 that ran for 48 years before closing in May 2023. Later that year, a 20-year-old who'd never run a café before, but wanted to preserve the space and culture, took it over, kept the interior, the cups, and the furniture exactly as they were, and reopened in July 2023 under a new name. It's not a jazz kissaten in the traditional sense, but the shop runs almost entirely on vinyl, mostly pre-1950s jazz centered loosely around Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong records.”
