“Compare to “Drag Me To Hell”, or your favorite Italian 1970’s red paint extravaganza. This movie goes really, really big, and while it never cracks a smile it sure does a lot of winking at the camera. The end result is fun, which is a very particular (and in my opinion underproduced) flavor of horror. Not everything needs to be Ari Aster.”
