“Extended to July 12! Weird girl summer continues! I have never seen this movie or read the book but I did live in Belmont, MA for a few years so I am familiar with the hospital behind the Star Market. Anyway, when this thing goes, it goes! Aimee Mann wrote some incredible music which exists on its own as a concept album you can listen to right now. I think about Mia Pak and Julianna Canfield singing ‘Robert Lowell and Silvia Plath’ every day, and it will go platinum in my home—much like Mia Pak singing ‘quarters’ and ‘haze’ from Dave Malloy’s ‘three houses’. Mia Pak supremacy!! Julianna Canfield supremacy also, obvi. Anyway, the book is eh and it’s a little slow at times but it’s a beautiful production. Also we HAVE to stop putting Emily Skinner in shows at The Public where she barely sings (Suffs 🙄😒).
