Porto Tonico

“I discovered this drink on a recent trip to Portugal and found it absolutely delightful. I am not a huge fan of Port because it’s super sweet and I just don’t have a taste for sweet alcohol very often, but this is a very good drink. It’s sort of like a gin and tonic, but different somehow and maybe even more summery? The tonic balances the sweetness of the port nicely. It probably doesn’t hurt that I had my first one on a sailboat in Porto, but I found that it was delicious even in less scenic location.”
