Giant Squid

“your nautilus story reminded me that i did a project on giant squids in third grade to be presented to our parents at the end of the year. at the time, no* pictures of living giant squids existed so my “about giant squids” book featured a lot of squid carcassses which was a book look next to all the lion cubs and wolf pups from my peers. anyways, i maintain that giant squids are fascinating! i saw a preserved specimen at the smithsonian and cried. *apparently pictures did exist but my firefox browsing skills were clearly not very good”
