Games can be very good at giving us intuitions about how systems work because they provide a context for experimentation and feedback, along with a goal that is low-stakes in real life but high-stakes within the context of play. This process doesn't always lead to explicit knowledge (e.g. that you could explain to someone else), but you can add design techniques such as a post-game reflection to support that process separately. Interestingly, Victor sees a slightly different connection to games, describing his Dynamicland system as "giving rules to everyday objects." I'm going to have to chew on that one. https://dynamicland.org/2024/FAQ/#A_humane_dynamic_medium”
