““The Bible is clear: men are terrible leaders.” Rev. Robin Lovett-Owen is one of my favorite thinkers and pastors. Based in Nashville, she’s ELCA clergy who now works for a non-profit and writes a great newsletter about the intersection of theology and city planning. Check it out! This piece got me to finally upgrade to a paid subscription. It’s a tongue in cheek response to the ages-old argument from male church leaders that God doesn’t want women to lead. Ultimately Robin argues that the Bible is “clear” on very little, but that we have plenty of evidence to affirm that women have always been trusted leaders and teachers in the Christian movement.”
