“I am detecting a scent in the wind that is calling me to Irish folklore, but it wasn’t until after I finished this book. The bit of magical realism is in reference to ancient stories the Irish kept before Catholicism came through. Without having read Hamnet or any of her other books, I can’t tell you how it stacks up. I can however say that it’s beautifully written, I adore the timelessness inherent to the story, and I didn’t cry but I did gasp once or twice.”

“Currently reading Land and it’s so good so far. A story you can get lost in!”
