I was so committed to swimming here that I dragged a friend, my friend's father, a bottle of whiskey, an Aran sweater, and many wool blankets here on the last night of November to dive in. A Peak Life Experience and one I highly recommend if you want to feel more alive than you ever have in your life.”

But it’ll get your cred with any dubliners you meet. It used to be men’s only (until the 70s or 80s maybe?) and we met a fab older lady (probs in her 70s) who would go with her dad when she was a kid but she had to wait at the top of the hill til he was done. Now she goes and jumps in herself. Wear a bathing suit if you’re shy or just change there behind a big rock or a towel or whateva. we went when it was overcast but it was still heaven. There is a cute cafe nearby with saunas (can’t remember the name but I’m sure you can Google!!! Not here to rec that place!!)”
