“I'm finding it hard to be overtly patriotic this year (for obviously reasons!!) but here's the thing--America as it was conceived is something worth celebrating and emphatically worth fighting for. As many people have done before, we need to reclaim what we find great about the more perfect union we've fought for for 250 years. As the daughter of an Army officer and as a very firm liberal, I am trying to straddle both worlds here with something small but lovingly made--a bracelet--as a reminder of what's good about our country and what we need to strive towards.”
