"Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia

“not actually her song but she made it famous! somehow both nostalgic and timeless. a karaoke classic. i actually love the husky vocals in the original by Ednaswap:”

“Played on repeat mostly because I had a crush on her and lots of queer longing while rollerblading, actually.”

“Semi related... My husband and I invented a game related to one hit wonders... two or more players go back and forth naming one hit wonders. Each player must name a one hit wonder that has a bigger % gap between the play counts of their top hit and their next hit than the one named by the previous player. For example, LFO'S summer girls has 76 million plays on spotify. Its next biggest song goes down 75% to 19 million. Can you think of a song that beats this ratio?”
