“30th anniversary of the crowning jewel in the Afghan Whigs’s catalog. It is film noir in an album form. Betrayal, lust, murder, true crime. It’s all here. The final three songs are in contention for end of album run. ‘Bulletproof,’ Summer’s Kiss,’ and arguably the best song in their catalog, ‘Faded.’ It’s meant to be listened to as one song and you should.
The Whigs’s are on tour right now and they’re one of the best live bands anywhere. Go see them. Go listen to this record. One of my highest recommendations. Go to town, burn it down, turn around and get your stroll on, baby.”
