“The Third Stream refers to the movement starting around the mid 60s to blend classical chamber music and jazz. The results were often corny or pretentious or both, but this record from then young(ish) / ambitious / second time band leader Joe Zawinul (Weather Report, wrote Miles’ “In A Silent Way”) and composer William Fischer is actually really beautiful and amazing imho!”
