“I will almost definitely regret blowing up my own spot here but in honor of rec league, community and this fine, fine establishment — Shancheng Lameizi is everything you could ever want in a hot pot restaurant and more. I can confidently say that I've gone here more than any restaurant in Los Angeles.

Sauce, snack and dessert bar. Are you kidding me?
Crispy fried pork — the must order non hot pot item
Absurdly well priced considering quality
Proprietary TV channel looping hot pot-related vignettes
Red bean sesame balls

No reservations (Anthony Bourdain voice)
As a spice-head, all three levels of the spicy base are a bit much
