Syd Sidney“Maybe you’re like me - a coffee lover with complex, refined taste - people like us make couple of Aeropress a day with fresh beans and a beautiful grinder. We’ve been to cuppings. Maybe you also have a bit of the old anxiety and haven’t been able to accept that coffee accelerates The Fear in its normal dose. So you reluctantly switch to making half caff coffee at home with one scoop of full caff beans and one of decaf. It tastes worse, but you feel better. Maybe you also like to keep an eye on your budget - One day I did the math and realized Aeropress cups were costing me between $3-4 per cup. Maybe you also have kids and when they are asleep, woe betide the parent that wakes them with the coffee grinder. Cometeer is a flash frozen cup of coffee that costs around $2 a cup. You just add hot water. They have half caff capsules that are decent tasting - that’s the best I’ll ever say about half caff - and have thus ticked all the boxes I needed to tick at this stage of my life. The Fear is lessened, the taste not fully compromised, the budget is reduced, and the kids stay asleep while I wake up. Highly recommend.”

I am a fan of Peak Season and Proud Mary, and Counter Culture is an obvious go-to.”
