Shampa's Pies

“The only thing better than a pie is a teeny tiny pie. A pie you don't have to feel bad about eating all alone. A pie so cute that you wish it had cheeks to pinch. Friends, I have found such pies. I found them in the coastside city of Pacifica*, just a few miles south of San Francisco, in a small locally-owned shop called Shampa's Pies. In addition to tiny fruit pies they have savory pies, quiche, and some crazy brown butter chocolate chip cookies. Across the board delicious. I'm also partial to the hand pies because I instantly love any homemade pastry inspired by a Pop Tart. If you're going, go early because options will be slim by 3:00. *Pacifica is also home to what is nationally recognized as the world's most beautiful Taco Bell.”
