“Disclaimer: I don’t think this exact style is still available, or if the fit is the same, so i recommend trying on in store. (There’s a style of this shoe that goes up past the ankle but imo they’re not as cute as the low sneaker-y ones). Review: i purchased this pair of Salomon elixir hiking shoes (low, black and white) in December 2023, 2 days before a solo trip to Switzerland. Risky but worth it — never got any blisters, no breaking in pain, just absolute comfort from the get go. I walked at least 20k steps per day. Then i wore them all winter in nyc. And i wore them the next winter in nyc. And on a 2 week trip to Japan. And my NB running shoes became worn down so started wearing these as my running shoes. And then wore them for my 3rd winter in a row. And on a trip to Belize. And they’re definitely quite worn down by now, April 2026, but still have life left in them. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on them and they go with pretty much any outfit. Best $200 i ever spent. Also, these are my first (and still only) pair of Salomon shoes.”
