Philly Typewriter

“Got my dad’s 1970s electric smith corona typewriter fixed and cleaned here a couple years ago (yes I lugged it from nyc to Philly). I love the atmosphere and the welcoming vibe, and the active workshop where you can see people fixing typewriters of all types. It’s been open for 50 years!! The owner is so passionate about typewriter repair and is more than happy to give you a tour of the space. They have some crazy cool vintage and antique typewriters. I have a friend who did an apprenticeship there and loved it. It’s a funky place and there are so very few typewriter shops still around!! Visit if you can!!”
