“Such gorgeous and unique stationery, unlike anywhere else I’ve been (and I go into a lot of stationery stores...). I especially covet these dried flower paperweights.”

“I picked these up during a visit to Choosing Keeping in London—two vintage Japanese Gansai watercolour sets dating from the 1920s and 1950s. Part artist’s tool, part design object, they’re a reminder that the materials we create with can carry history, craftsmanship and a distinct point of view. The rich pigments, restrained packaging and careful preservation make them feel less like supplies and more like small cultural artefacts. As someone drawn to the stories behind objects as much as the objects themselves, they were impossible to leave behind. I can’t wait to see how these nearly century-old colours find their way into new work.https://choosingkeeping.com/”
